Project Overview

Norlab was commissioned to design and implement a high-efficiency laboratory environment for the AAK Laboratory, with a focus on precision, durability, and operational safety. The project scope included the installation of Phenolic Benchtops, custom Wood Cabinetry, precision-engineered Balance Tables, and strategically positioned Emergency Showers. Each element was carefully selected to support consistent workflows while ensuring long-term resistance under demanding conditions. Through a structured and detail-driven execution, the AAK Laboratory was transformed into a modern facility designed to enhance accuracy, reliability, and safe daily operations.

The Specific Need

The AAK Laboratory required a comprehensive upgrade to address limitations impacting both performance and safety. Existing work surfaces showed signs of deterioration due to continuous use, reducing their effectiveness over time. Storage systems lacked proper organization, affecting workflow efficiency and accessibility. Additionally, the laboratory required improved support for sensitive equipment, as external vibrations were interfering with measurement accuracy. Emergency response infrastructure was also insufficient, increasing potential operational risks. The objective was to elevate the AAK Laboratory into a controlled, stable, and highly efficient environment capable of supporting precise laboratory processes.

Our Solution

Norlab delivered a tailored solution specifically designed for the AAK Laboratory. High-resistance Phenolic Benchtops were installed to provide durable, non-porous surfaces capable of withstanding chemical exposure and intensive use. Custom Wood Cabinetry was integrated to improve storage organization and streamline daily operations. Precision Balance Tables were incorporated to eliminate vibration interference and ensure accurate measurements for sensitive instruments. In addition, Emergency Showers were strategically installed to provide immediate response in case of accidental exposure. This integrated approach ensured that the AAK Laboratory could operate with enhanced efficiency, safety, and performance.
