This year, we’re releasing an updated catalogue featuring new, innovative laboratory furniture solutions designed to exceed expectations in real laboratory environments.
We manufacture fit-for-purpose laboratory furniture solutions, including workstations, chemical storage, decontamination units, seating, and mobile container laboratory modules. Our Australian clients rely on us for our proven ability to deliver projects with up to 30% cost savings and 35% faster delivery and installation. Every project is approached with a strong focus on functionality, compliance, and seamless integration into real laboratory environments.
At Norlab we support laboratories across Australia with furniture and layouts designed for real operational demands. Our approach focuses on practical design and local project coordination, as laboratory spaces succeed or fail based on how they function day to day. What happens when laboratory furniture doesn’t truly fit the way your team works? Delays, costly adjustments, and unnecessary disruption. That’s why every project starts with understanding real laboratory use, not just drawings — delivering environments that perform reliably as needs evolve.

Norlab deliver functional, compliant, and future-ready laboratories nationwide. From Free 3D modeling and visualization design to installation we deliver labs that boost productivity by 40% and reduce operational costs by 25%. We’ve designed, manufactured, and installed over 1,000 labs for Research, Pharmaceutical, Educational, Healthcare, and Government facilities trusted by companies across Australia.
You don’t need much to get started. A rough floor plan or room dimensions, a description of the type of work the laboratory will be used for, and a general sense of which products you need (benchtops, cabinetry, fume hoods, storage, seating) is enough to begin the design process. If you have existing plumbing, gas, or electrical layouts, those are helpful but not required at this stage. Norlab’s team works through the details with you — you don’t need to arrive with a finished specification.
We handle the full design at no extra cost. Whether you’re fitting out a new facility or refurbishing an existing space, our team provides CAD drawings, furniture placement, utility coordination, and storage planning. You benefit from a single point of contact from the initial concept through to final installation.
Yes, all laboratory furniture designed and manufactured by Norlab is built to meet applicable safety, quality, and performance standards, including SEFA (Scientific Equipment and Furniture Association) standards for laboratory casework and benchtops, relevant AS/NZS standards for laboratory facilities and installations, and ISO standards covering quality management and manufacturing processes.
Compliance documentation forms part of the project delivery, not an optional add-on. If your facility is subject to additional organisational, accreditation, or institutional requirements, these are discussed during the design phase and incorporated into the final specification.
Most projects follow this timeline: 1 to 2 weeks for the initial design and 3D layout review, 4 to 8 weeks for manufacturing depending on scope and materials, and 1 to 2 weeks for delivery and installation. Complex projects — multi-room facilities, container laboratories, or projects with extensive service integration — may take longer. The fastest way to obtain an accurate timeline for your project is to submit your details through the contact form; Norlab’s team will provide a project-specific estimate based on the actual scope of work rather than a generic timeframe.
Our team manages the full installation at your facility. You don’t need to source or manage a separate installer. Installation excludes building works, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC services — we’ll advise exactly what needs to be in place before we arrive so there are no surprises on installation day.
Norlab offers an extended warranty of two years on all products, commencing from the supply date indicated on the label affixed to the underside of the furniture. During the first six months, all replacement parts will be supplied free of charge, including packaging and freight costs.
Norlab warranty does not cover:
Yes, Norlab’s laboratory furniture is designed with modularity in mind, which means it can be dismantled, transported, and reinstalled in a new location without compromising its structural integrity or performance. Whether you’re relocating to a larger facility, reconfiguring your laboratory, or establishing a second site, the modular design allows for a straightforward reconfiguration process.
Contact Norlab’s team to coordinate the relocation — we’ll assess your new facility and ensure the furniture is reassembled correctly and to the same standard as the original installation.
