Project Overview

Norlab was selected to execute a complete laboratory fit-out for the Lucta Laboratory, a facility dedicated to formulation analysis, product development, and controlled testing environments. The project scope included the installation of high-resistance Phenolic Benchtops, precision-built Metal Cabinetry, compliant Safety Storage Cabinets, and advanced Mobile Fume Extractor systems. Each component was carefully chosen to ensure durability, safety, and operational flexibility. Through a structured and detail-oriented implementation, the Lucta Laboratory was transformed into a modern and efficient workspace capable of supporting complex laboratory processes with consistency and reliability.

The Specific Need

The Lucta Laboratory required a comprehensive upgrade to address key operational and safety challenges. Existing work surfaces were not sufficiently resistant to chemical exposure and intensive use, reducing their effectiveness over time. Storage systems lacked the necessary structure to safely manage hazardous materials, increasing potential risks. Additionally, ventilation solutions were limited, making it difficult to control localized fumes generated during testing procedures. There was also a need for more adaptable systems that could support changing workflows. The objective was to elevate the Lucta Laboratory into a controlled and flexible environment that ensured both safety and efficiency.

Our Solution

Norlab delivered a tailored solution designed specifically for the Lucta Laboratory. Durable Phenolic Benchtops were installed to provide non-porous, chemical-resistant surfaces ideal for demanding laboratory applications. Custom Metal Cabinetry was integrated to improve organization and ensure long-term durability under continuous use. Safety Storage Cabinets were incorporated to securely contain hazardous substances while maintaining compliance with safety standards. In addition, Mobile Fume Extractor systems were introduced to provide flexible and efficient ventilation, allowing targeted removal of harmful fumes. This integrated approach ensured that every upgrade enhanced the functionality of the Lucta Laboratory.
