Project Overview

Norlab was engaged to deliver a specialized laboratory fit-out for the Bioempak Laboratory, a facility dedicated to precision measurement, product validation, and controlled analytical workflows. The project included the installation of high-resistance Phenolic Benchtops, custom-engineered Wood Cabinetry, vibration-controlled Balance Tables, and advanced Fume Hoods. Each component was selected to ensure maximum accuracy, durability, and operational efficiency. Through a carefully planned and executed process, the Bioempak Laboratory was transformed into a modern and reliable environment designed to support sensitive laboratory procedures with consistency and precision.

The Specific Need

The Bioempak Laboratory required an infrastructure upgrade to overcome limitations affecting both accuracy and safety. Existing work surfaces were not suitable for handling delicate measurements or exposure to chemical agents, compromising reliability. Storage systems lacked the organization needed to efficiently manage laboratory tools and materials. Additionally, precise weighing processes were impacted by environmental vibrations, creating inconsistencies in results. Ventilation systems were also insufficient for safely managing fumes generated during analytical procedures. The goal was to elevate the Bioempak Laboratory into a controlled environment that prioritized precision, safety, and workflow efficiency.

Our Solution

Norlab implemented a tailored solution designed specifically for the Bioempak Laboratory. Durable Phenolic Benchtops were installed to provide non-porous, chemical-resistant surfaces ideal for demanding laboratory tasks. Custom Wood Cabinetry was integrated to improve organization and optimize workspace efficiency. Specialized Balance Tables were introduced to minimize vibrations and ensure accurate measurement results in sensitive applications. In addition, advanced Fume Hoods were strategically placed to maintain proper airflow and effectively remove hazardous fumes. This integrated approach ensured that every upgrade contributed to enhancing the functionality of the Bioempak Laboratory.
