Project Overview

Norlab was commissioned to design and deliver a high-performance laboratory environment for the Ramo Laboratory, focusing on precision, durability, and operational safety. The project scope included the integration of Phenolic Benchtops, robust Metal Cabinetry, specialized Balance Tables, and strategically located Emergency Showers. Each element was selected to support demanding workflows while maintaining strict safety standards. Through a carefully planned execution, the Ramo Laboratory was transformed into a reliable and efficient workspace tailored to support accurate testing and consistent daily operations.

The Specific Need

The Ramo Laboratory required a complete modernization to resolve inefficiencies that were affecting both performance and safety. Existing work surfaces were unable to withstand intensive use, leading to premature wear and inconsistent results. Storage systems lacked durability and organization, limiting workflow efficiency. Additionally, the facility required improved support for precision instruments, as vibration interference was impacting measurement accuracy. Safety infrastructure also needed reinforcement, particularly in emergency response capabilities. The goal was to upgrade the Ramo Laboratory into a controlled, stable, and highly functional environment capable of meeting demanding laboratory standards.

Our Solution

To meet these requirements, Norlab implemented a fully customized solution for the Ramo Laboratory. High-quality Phenolic Benchtops were installed to deliver long-lasting resistance against chemicals and physical impact. Heavy-duty Metal Cabinetry was incorporated to provide secure, organized storage while supporting daily operational demands. Precision-engineered Balance Tables were introduced to minimize vibration and ensure accurate measurements for sensitive equipment. In addition, Emergency Showers were strategically installed to enhance safety and provide immediate response when required. This integrated approach ensured that every component contributed to the overall performance of the Ramo Laboratory.
