Project Overview

Norlab was selected to design and execute a high-performance laboratory environment for the Canpack Laboratory, with a focus on safety, durability, and operational efficiency. The project included the installation of Phenolic Benchtops, custom Wood Cabinetry, advanced Fume Hoods, and strategically positioned Emergency Showers. Each component was carefully chosen to withstand demanding industrial workflows while ensuring long-term reliability. Through a structured and well-coordinated implementation, the Canpack Laboratory was transformed into a modern and efficient facility designed to support consistent testing and controlled daily operations.

The Specific Need

The Canpack Laboratory required a comprehensive upgrade to overcome operational limitations affecting both safety and productivity. Existing work surfaces were not resistant enough to continuous chemical exposure, resulting in premature deterioration. Storage systems lacked proper organization, creating inefficiencies in workflow and material handling. Additionally, ventilation systems were insufficient for managing fumes generated during testing processes. Emergency response infrastructure was also limited, increasing potential safety risks. The objective was to elevate the Canpack Laboratory into a controlled, efficient, and safety-focused environment capable of supporting demanding laboratory activities.

Our Solution

Norlab delivered a customized solution tailored specifically to the Canpack Laboratory. High-resistance Phenolic Benchtops were installed to provide durable, non-porous work surfaces suitable for intensive use. Custom Wood Cabinetry was integrated to improve storage organization and optimize accessibility within the workspace. Advanced Fume Hoods were strategically positioned to ensure proper ventilation and safe extraction of hazardous fumes. In addition, Emergency Showers were installed to provide immediate response in case of accidental exposure. This integrated approach ensured that the Canpack Laboratory could operate with enhanced safety, efficiency, and reliability.
