Project Overview

Norlab was commissioned to undertake a significant upgrade for the Fapasa Laboratory, a facility dedicated to advanced material science research. This comprehensive project involved the strategic installation of durable Phenolic Benchtops, robust Metal Cabinets for secure storage, ergonomically designed Laboratory chairs, and efficient Shelving storage solutions. Each component was selected to enhance both the functional capacity and the safety standards required in a dynamic research environment. The successful execution of this project has transformed the Fapasa Laboratory into a more modern and highly efficient workspace, tailored to support cutting-edge scientific investigations.

The Specific Need

The existing infrastructure at Fapasa Laboratory presented limitations for expanding research initiatives and accommodating new analytical equipment. There was a pressing requirement for work surfaces that could endure rigorous chemical exposure and heavy usage without degradation. Furthermore, the laboratory needed improved organizational systems for reagents, samples, and instrumentation, necessitating secure and accessible storage. Seating solutions were also outdated, impacting researcher comfort during prolonged experimental periods. The overall objective was to create a more resilient and adaptable environment for the Fapasa Laboratory, capable of meeting future research demands and maintaining a high level of operational integrity.

Our Solution

Norlab developed a bespoke solution for the Fapasa Laboratory, commencing with the installation of chemical-resistant Phenolic Benchtops, providing an impervious and easy-to-clean work surface. Complementing these, custom-fabricated Metal Cabinets were integrated to offer secure, fire-resistant storage for sensitive materials and equipment. For researcher comfort and productivity, a suite of adjustable Laboratory chairs was introduced, promoting better posture and reducing fatigue. Finally, versatile Shelving storage units were strategically placed to optimize vertical space, ensuring all necessary supplies were readily available and well-organized.
