Project Overview

Norlab was commissioned to execute a comprehensive laboratory fit-out for the Holcim Laboratory, a facility dedicated to material testing, quality assurance, and high-demand industrial analysis. The project scope included the installation of robust Ceramic Benchtops, precision-engineered Metal Cabinetry, ergonomic Laboratory Chairs, and high-capacity Shelving Storage systems. Each component was carefully selected to withstand intensive daily use while maintaining operational efficiency and safety standards. Through a structured and detail-focused implementation, the Holcim Laboratory was transformed into a modern, high-performance workspace designed to support demanding laboratory operations with consistency and reliability.

The Specific Need

The Holcim Laboratory required a significant infrastructure upgrade to address limitations affecting durability, organization, and workflow efficiency. Existing work surfaces were not capable of supporting heavy-duty testing procedures or resisting exposure to abrasive materials. Storage systems lacked the capacity and structure needed to efficiently manage equipment and materials, leading to operational inefficiencies. Additionally, laboratory personnel required improved ergonomic solutions to maintain productivity during long working hours. There was also a need to optimize space utilization without compromising accessibility.
