Project Overview

Norlab was commissioned to deliver a complete laboratory fit-out for the Lima University Laboratory, a facility dedicated to academic research, analytical testing, and precision-based educational workflows. The project included the installation of high-resistance Phenolic Benchtops, durable Phenolic Cabinetry, advanced Fume Hoods, and strategically positioned Eye Washer Station units. Each component was carefully selected to ensure long-term performance, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. Through a structured and detail-focused implementation, the Lima University Laboratory was transformed into a modern and reliable environment capable of supporting diverse laboratory activities with consistency and accuracy.

The Specific Need

The Lima University Laboratory required a comprehensive upgrade to address infrastructure limitations affecting both safety and performance. Existing work surfaces were not sufficiently resistant to chemical exposure and repetitive use, reducing their effectiveness over time. Storage systems lacked durability and organization, making it difficult to manage laboratory materials efficiently. Additionally, ventilation systems were not adequate to safely handle fumes generated during experiments. Emergency response capabilities were also limited, with insufficient access to immediate decontamination solutions. The objective was to elevate the Lima University Laboratory into a controlled environment that ensured both safety and operational excellence.

Our Solution

Norlab delivered a tailored solution designed specifically for the Lima University Laboratory. High-performance Phenolic Benchtops were installed to provide non-porous, chemical-resistant surfaces suitable for intensive academic use. Phenolic Cabinetry was integrated to enhance storage efficiency while ensuring durability in high-use conditions. Advanced Fume Hoods were strategically positioned to maintain proper airflow and effectively remove hazardous fumes. In addition, Eye Washer Station units were installed to provide immediate response in case of accidental exposure. This integrated approach ensured that every component contributed to optimizing the functionality of the Lima University Laboratory.
