Norlab was engaged to deliver a high-performance laboratory upgrade for the Pepsi Laboratory, a facility dedicated to quality control, product testing, and analytical processes within a fast-paced environment. The project scope included the installation of durable Phenolic Benchtops, precision-engineered Metal Cabinetry, compliant Safety Cabinets, and strategically positioned Eye Wash Station units. Each component was selected to enhance operational efficiency while reinforcing strict safety standards. Through a carefully coordinated implementation, the Pepsi Laboratory was transformed into a reliable and streamlined workspace capable of supporting consistent and accurate testing procedures.

The Specific Need

The Pepsi Laboratory required an infrastructure improvement to address key operational and safety limitations. Existing work surfaces were not designed to withstand continuous exposure to chemical agents and repetitive cleaning cycles, leading to reduced durability. Storage systems lacked the necessary structure to safely organize hazardous materials, increasing potential risks. Additionally, emergency response capabilities were limited due to the absence of accessible decontamination solutions. The need for improved workflow efficiency and compliance with safety protocols was critical. The objective was to upgrade the Pepsi Laboratory into a controlled and efficient environment that ensured both productivity and personnel protection.

Our Solution

Norlab implemented a tailored solution designed to meet the operational demands of the Pepsi Laboratory. High-resistance Phenolic Benchtops were installed to provide non-porous, long-lasting surfaces ideal for intensive laboratory activities. Custom Metal Cabinetry was integrated to improve storage organization and ensure durability under constant use. Safety Cabinets were incorporated to securely store hazardous substances while maintaining regulatory compliance. In addition, Eye Wash Station units were strategically placed to enable immediate response in case of accidental exposure.
