Project Overview

Norlab was commissioned to deliver a complete laboratory fit-out for the UPL Laboratory, a facility focused on analytical precision, product testing, and controlled research workflows. The project included the installation of durable Phenolic Benchtops, custom-designed Wood Cabinetry, specialized Glassware Cabinets, and high-stability Balance Tables. Each component was carefully selected to ensure accuracy, durability, and seamless daily operation. Through a structured and detail-driven execution, the UPL Laboratory was transformed into a modern and efficient workspace designed to support sensitive laboratory activities with consistency and reliability.

The Specific Need

The UPL Laboratory required a comprehensive upgrade to address operational inefficiencies and limitations in precision handling. Existing work surfaces were not suitable for continuous exposure to chemicals or delicate laboratory procedures, reducing performance over time. Storage systems lacked proper organization, particularly for fragile glassware, increasing the risk of damage and inefficiency. Additionally, measurement processes were affected by environmental instability, leading to inconsistent results. There was a clear need to improve workflow organization while maintaining high levels of accuracy. The objective was to elevate the UPL Laboratory into a controlled and highly reliable working environment.

Our Solution

Norlab implemented a tailored solution designed specifically for the UPL Laboratory. High-resistance Phenolic Benchtops were installed to provide non-porous, chemical-resistant surfaces ideal for demanding laboratory use. Custom Wood Cabinetry was integrated to enhance storage efficiency and maintain a structured workspace layout. Dedicated Glassware Cabinets were introduced to securely store fragile equipment while improving accessibility and organization. In addition, precision-engineered Balance Tables were installed to minimize vibration and ensure accurate measurement outcomes. This integrated approach ensured that every component contributed to optimizing the functionality of the UPL Laboratory.
